Lucky baby takes mascot's moniker
A GRATEFUL couple whose newborn baby was saved by doctors at Sheffield Children's Hospital have named their son after its charity mascot, Theo Bear.
Little Ollie Theo Darke, above, who is now three months old, almost died when he suffered a rare bowel condition 36 hours after he was born but is now thriving after receiving specialist treatment.
Ollie's mother Laura Malik, of Worksop, who is raising money for the hospital charity, said her son's name gave him a "special connection" to the hospital.
