Maddie detective set for rights plea
Former Portuguese detective Goncalo Amaral has vowed to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights if the parents of missing British child Madeleine McCann win a court case in Lisbon.
Mr Amaral is trying to overturn a ban Gerry and Kate McCann won on his book, Maddie: The Truth Of The Lie, which says she is dead. She disappeared in the Algarve in May 2007.
