Make a dash for it and help the old and vulnerable

TIME is running out to get a place in the Age UK Leeds Abbey Dash 2016.

Participants have just until today to sign up online for a place in the Yorkshire Evening Post-backed 10k event.

The dash will see thousands of runners take to the streets of Leeds on November 6 and put their best foot forward for the fundraiser to support vulnerable older people.

Celebrating its 31st year, the Age UK Leeds Abbey Dash is popular with fun runners, celebrities and elite athletes alike and has been hailed one of the best races in the country by Men’s Running magazine.

Participants who sign up will be raising funds to help Age UK make a crucial difference to the lives of older people.

Research from the charity shows that one in four people aged 65 and over feel they have no one to go to for help and support.
