North Yorkshire Police have confirmed they are investigating an alleged incident at Scarborough Hospital on Thursday, August 1. Details have yet to emerge, but it is understood to involve a male nurse and a female patient in her 80s.

It is not clear whether a complaint was made by the patient, but the matter was referred to police by the hospital once hospital authorities were made aware.
