Man, 59, killed in road accident

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a road accident in Halifax.

The incident occurred around 10.30am on Dryclough Lane, near to the Calderdale Royal Hospital, where a male pedestrian and silver Renault Traffic were in collision.

The 59-year-old man was treated at the scene for serious injuries, but died later in hospital.

Sergeant Ann Drury of the Major Collision Enquiry Team said; “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around Dryclough Road around the time of the incident and may have witnessed what happened, or seen either the vehicle or pedestrian prior to the collision to come forward. Enquiries are ongoing.”
