Man arrested after shooting near Huddersfield pub

A MAN has been arrested after shots were fired near a pub in Huddersfield, police said.

The incident happened near to the Wagon and Horses pub on White Stone Lane on Tuesday afternoon, West Yorkshire Police said.

No-one was injured in the firearms incident near the junction with Bradford Road.

A 25-year-old man was arrested today (Friday) on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and is currently in custody.

Officers are now appealing for information from residents and carrying out patrols in the area.

They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was in the area near to the Wagon and Horses pub between 3pm and 5pm on Tuesday to contact 0845 6060606, or Crimestoppers anonymously and in confidence on 0800 555 111.
