Man arrested on attempted murder charge
A WOMAN is in hospital with serious burns injuries after being attacked at a property in Darfield, Barnsley, on the evening of Monday, September 23.
Police have arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.
A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said yesterday: “Police were called to a property in Primrose Avenue, Darfield, where a 51-year-old woman was found suffering from extensive burn injuries.
“She was taken to Northern General Hospital where her condition is described this morning as serious.”
