Man arrested over 'bomb threat' to airport on net

A South Yorkshire man has been arrested after alleged bomb threats about Robin Hood Airport were made on a social networking website.

Police revealed details of the arrest of the Doncaster man, in his 20s, last night.

He was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of communicating a bomb hoax and released on bail pending further enquiries.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “We advise members of the public to use such sites appropriately, as they are easily accessible to the public and any inappropriate use could cause unnecessary concern.”
