Man charged with 45 offences of child sexual exploitation in Rotherham

POLICE HAVE charged a man with 45 offences relating to child sexual exploitation in Rotherham.

Arshid Hussain, 40, of High Street, East Cowick, Goole, was charged yesterday with a string of offences including indecent assault, unlawful sexual intercourse and unlawful imprisonment.

He has also been charged with causing a child to be removed from their parent, assault, and procuring of a female to have sexual intercourse.

Hussain has been bailed to appear before Rotherham Magistrates’ Court on June 25.

He has been charged as part of Operation Clover, a joint investigation by South Yorkshire Police in partnership with Rotherham Council and the Crown Prosecution Service.

It is one of a number of non-recent child sexual exploitation investigations in Rotherham and South Yorkshire Police continues to work in partnership with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and the Crown Prosecution Service.
