Man in court over two sex attacks in Rotherham

A MAN appeared in court yesterday charged with four counts of rape, in relation to two sex attacks in South Yorkshire last week.

Nicholas Totty, of Newman Road in Rotherham, is also charged with wounding with intent, GBH without intent, common assault and burglary with intent to commit GBH.

The 25-year-old was remanded in custody by magistrates in Rotherham yesterday morning and will appear before Sheffield Crown Court next week.

The first incident occured at around 11.30pm on Friday, September 27 when a woman was sexually assaulted in Moorgate Road. An hour-and-a-half later, two women were attacked at a nearby address.
