Man dies after crash in East Yorkshire

A man has died after being involved in a collision in East Yorkshire.

The crash happened at around 5am this morning (Sunday), after police said a silver Audi A4 left the road on the A1033 in Holderness.

Police closed the road between Hollym and Patrington from 5am until 11.30am while the vehicle was recovered and investigations got underway.A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "The driver of the silver Audi A4 sadly died at the scene. The man has not yet been formally identified.

"It is not known what time the collision occurred and we are appealing for anyone travelling in the area during the hours of darkness to call us if they saw the silver Audi A4."

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting log 132 of July 30.
