Man followed woman from Sheffield supermarket and tried to sexually assault her in street

The 25-year-old woman was followed after she left the Tesco store on Saville Street, Sheffield, at around 10.45pm on February 9.

The man approached the woman and made inappropriate comments as she walked onto Spital Hill Road.

He tried to sexually assault her, but she was able to run away and get help.

Although she was not physically injured, police today said she had been left "extremely frightened" by the incident.

The man has been described as being around 25, slim and around 6ft, with short dark hair.

He is believed to have a dark mark, possibly a mole, on the right side of his face.

Police now want to hear from anyone who may know this man or who saw this incident.
