“Detectives are investigating this case as a domestic incident between a couple and are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident.”

Emergency services were called to an address in Herries Road, Shirecliffe, just before 5pm on Tuesday, June 4.

There they found the body of a woman in her 20s, while a man of the same age was found in the street with serious knife injuries to his chest.
