Firefighters found a man with burns to his arm and face after being called out to reports of a fire in a garden in York last night.
A crews from Acomb were sent to the scene in Burton Green shortly before 7.30pm.
There had been a report of a fire in a garden and a large bang being heard.
A North Yorkshire Fire Service spokesman said: "On arrival crews found a male suffering burns to his arm and face due to an aerosol being involve in a controlled burning in a garden.
"Crews treated the burns using gel packs and the person refused ambulance treatment."
