Man in hospital after car collides with fence

A man was rushed to hospital after the car he was travelling in collided with a fence in Scunthorpe.

The collision happened at 6pm, on Sunday, on the A1029 Winterton Road, Scunthorpe, 400m south of the A1077.

A 46-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police said his car, a blue BMW, left the road before colliding with a fence.

The man is currently at Hull Royal Infirmary in a stable condition.
