Man left with fractured skull after bridge attack

A MAN was left with a fractured skull after he was assaulted in York, police said yesterday.

The victim, a 25-year-old local man, was on his way home from a night out in the city centre when he was attacked by another man on Lendal Bridge. Yesterday he remained in hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

Officers are keen to speak to a white man, in his mid-20s, who was wearing a white top with a red rucksack on his back in connection with the attack which happened at 3.25am on January 25. Call police on 101.
