Man seriously injured in attack at Castleford bar
A MAN was seriously injured when he was punched in the head at the Winter Seam bar at Castleford’s Xscape leisure complex in the early hours on Sunday.
The 30-year-old Castleford man was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious but not life threatening head injury following the attack between 12.05am and 12.15am.
Det Cons Laura Wheatley of Wakefield CID, said: “This occurred between the entrance and pub dance floor at which time it was really busy with customers.”
Witnesses are asked to call 101 and quote crime number 13150380026. A 27-year-old Pontefract man was arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed pending further enquiries.
