Man seriously injured in Bradford collision

A 61-year-old man suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a car in Bradford on Saturday.

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after the man was hit by a grey Toyota Auris at about 1.55pm at the junction of Toller Lane and Fairfield Road.

He was taken to hospital with leg and head injuries and remains there today in a stable condition, a police spokesperson said.

The 33-year-old male driver of the Auris was uninjured and was spoken to by police at the scene.

The car was travelling towards Whetley Hill at the time of the collision and police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or who saw the movements of the car or the pedestrian beforehand.
