Man shot as gangs brawl in street

A MAN was shot and injured during a fight between two rival gangs on a street in Leeds.

The 23-year-old man received shotgun pellet injuries to his arm when the two groups of men started attacking each other with weapons in Dufton Approach, Seacroft.

He was among eight men aged 17 to 49 who were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and firearms offences after police were called to the scene at 6pm on Tuesday.

By the time officers arrived to reports of men fighting, and one discharging a shotgun, all those involved had fled. Call West Yorkshire Police on 101.
