Man suffers leg injuries in York car collision

A male pedestrian was left needing hospital treatment for leg injuries following a collision with a car in York.

The incident involved a silver Lexus car travelling along Elvington Lane towards Elvington, between the Grimston Bar roundabout and York Maze at about 5.50pm on Monday.

The injured man has since been discharged from hospital.

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for anyone who saw either the pedestrian or the car prior to the collision to contact them on 101, select option 2 and ask for TC Roger Walker, of the Roads Policing Group at Tadcaster, quoting reference number 12160010291.
