Man threatened at knifepoint as he returned home after work

A man was robbed at knifepoint as he returned to his Huddersfield home after work on Friday.

Detectives in West Yorkshire today released details of the incident as they appealed for information.

The 50-year-old man got out of his car in Northfield Grove, Lockwood, at about 11.55pm.

It was then that he was approached by two men who threatened him with a knife and demanded cash. 

The victim tried to get away and raise the alarm but was grabbed by one of the suspects. 

Both then fled towards North Street with the victim's car keys, leaving him unharmed but shaken. 

The first suspect was black, aged between 16 and 25, 5ft 8in and slim.

The second was described as black or possibly Asian, 5ft 8in and also slim.

Both suspects wore black balaclavas during the robbery.
