Man tried to force woman into car before dragging her along Bradford street

Police are concerned for the welfare of a woman after a man was seen trying to force her into a car in Bradford city centre.

It was reported that the man tried to force the man into a silver Volkswagen Golf in Chester Street at around 3.55pm on Wednesday.

The car drove off without the male suspect getting the victim into the car.

He was then seen pulling her arm and they went along Morley Street. 

Detective Inspector Matthew Walker, of Bradford CID, said: "We are appealing to members of the public about this incident as we are concerned for the welfare of this woman. 

"I would urge anyone who either witnessed this incident or recognises the description of the woman or the man, to come forward and speak to the police." 

The suspect is described as a thin Asian man in his late 30s. He had short dark hair and was wearing a black jacket.

The woman is described as white, with black curly hair. She was wearing a black and white jumpsuit. 

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Bradford CID via 101, quoting log number 1074 of 22/2.
