Man wanted over wounding incident

West Yorkshire Police have released an image of a man detectives want to trace as part of an investigation into a serious wounding committed last year.

Officers want to speak to John Gillespie, 38, in connection with an incident of grievous bodily harm at an address on Woodview Mount, Beeston, on the evening of 24 May, 2010.

Two men entered the address and demanded money from the tenant, and following an altercation a friend of the tenant was stabbed with a kitchen knife.

As part of extensive enquiries into the incident, officers are keen to trace John Gillespie, who is originally from the Glasgow area of Scotland and is also known as ‘Scotch John’.

He is described as white, around 5’8” tall, of skinny build with short grey hair, and speaks with a Scottish accent.
