Man was ‘lying in road before being run over’
Officers said the 56-year-old, who has not yet been identified, was “believed to have been lying in the carriageway” when he was run over on Cooperative Street, in Goldthorpe, near Barnsley.
The driver of an “unknown vehicle” involved failed to stop following the incident, which happened at around 8.25pm on Thursday.

Hide AdThe vehicle is reported to have continued along Co-Operative Street turning right into Doncaster Road failing to stop at the scene.
