March 7: The case for buying local

Have your say

From: Hugh Rogers, Messingham Road, Ashby.

BARRIE Crowther (The Yorkshire Post, March 4) berates Sainsbury’s for stocking Dutch rhubarb. But that wouldn’t work for them if their customers cared enough to insist on only buying the locally grown (and vastly superior) variety. Retailers would react quickly if shoppers consistently refused to buy the imported stuff . We only ever buy vegetables grown in Lincolnshire.

IF the parties can’t agree the format for the TV election debates, what hope is there of them actually having the know-how to run the country?
