SOME say David Cameron will replace the TV licence fee by another form of funding (Andrew Allison, The Yorkshire Post, May 16). Time will tell. People could go to prison because they cannot afford the £146 licence fee. We cannot have poor people crucified over a TV poll tax. The BBC are much kinder than that.

OVER the last 50 years or so human life has become a commercial business that has to make a substantial profit to survive. This is a totally destructive process. We are, of course, the most intelligent species, but are we clever enough to sustain life on Earth or are we assisting in its demise?
