Maze launches Halloween hunt for 100 monsters and zombies

MORE than 100 jobs are going begging on a graveyard shift in York – but not for the faint-hearted.

York Maze is looking for zombies and monsters to work at the attraction during Halloween.

No previous experience is necessary as Maze master Tom Pearcy is promising full training in how to behave like a bloodthirsty fiend.

He said: "We ran our first Halloween event last year which was a great success. This year we have added more haunted houses and Halloween attractions, which means we need to recruit up to 100 zombies and assorted monsters.

"For our daytime Halloween event we are looking for staff to play friendly zombies, witches and other characters that are not too scary... For the night-time HallowScream events the scarier the better.

"They need to be able to demonstrate the key zombie skills of a vacant expression, a threatening moan, and the ability to move their bodies like rigor mortis has started to set in."

Anyone who is available between October 22-31 should email a scary photograph of themselves to [email protected]
