A memorial service was held yesterday to mark the first anniversary of the deaths of two apprentice jockeys in a fire in North Yorkshire.

Relatives and members of the racing world gathered at St Leonard and St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Malton, in memory of Jamie Kyne, 18, and Jan Wilson, 19, who died in the blaze in Norton, near Malton.
