Men wanted for armed bike thefts in town

Police in Doncaster are seeking a duo who are thought to be responsible for two separate bike thefts in the town.

On Saturday, May 5, two 17-year-old boys were riding their BMX mountain bikes towards the skate park in Sprotbrough when their path was blocked by two men brandishing metal bars.

The men threatened the boys, ordered them to hand over their bikes, and hit one of them over the head - causing him to need stitches in hospital.

Five days later, a teenager was riding his mountain bike along the Trans-Pennine trail between Sprotbrough and Edlington when two men, of the same description, threatened him on a bridge and ordered him to hand over his bike.

The thieves are described as white, between 18 and 21 years old and approximately six feet tall.
