Mental health services put on map

YORK mental health service users are being invited to learn more about the support available in recognition of 2010 World Mental Health Day.

Tomorrow staff from North Yorkshire and York Community and Mental Health Services' Community Recovery Team in partnership with York St John University, Our Celebration, MIND and York Faces are hosting an open event.

The event will offer local people and mental health service users the chance to interact and put mental health services across the city on the map.

There will be eleven different stands with information throughout the day from various mental health services.

At 3pm there will also be a performance by the Out of Character theatre group, a group which works with mental health service users to help reduce the stigma and challenges new students with mental health problems may face.
