LABOUR leader Ed Miliband will today launch a scathing attack on the Government’s efforts to help business, describing David Cameron and George Osborne as “the last bastion of the old mindset”.
Giving the inaugural lecture to the University of Sheffield’s Political Economy Research Institute, Mr Miliband is expected to accuse the Chancellor of “failing to give business the economic certainty it needs”.
The Yorkshire economy suffered a series of blows this week, with hundreds of job cuts announced in both private and public sectors.
Mr Miliband will accuse Mr Osborne of being a bastion of an old mindset that is letting down British business and families.
The Doncaster North MP will also say the Government is defending an unreformed bonus culture.
