Mill fire in historic town
Fire crews were still tackling a mill fire in Howarth today.
The fire was reported at about 6.10pm yesterday at Lees Mill, off Lees Lane, Haworth.
The ground floor of the 50m by 30m building was said to be well alight by the time firefighters arrived. It was quickly elevated to a more serious incident and pumps from stations in Huddersfield, Keighley and Bingley were called to assist.
A fire service spokesman said this morning they were still in attendance at the incident.
