Millions face power blackout in Yemen
Millions were left without power in vast swathes of Yemen in a power cut that plunged Muslims about to sit down to break their dawn-to-dusk fast for the holy month of Ramadan into darkness.
The Electricity Authority said the outage was caused by a grid failure through heavy rain.
Officials said millions were without power for most of the night in the capital San’a and other major cities.
