Mince pies take a battering
A quirky twist on a Christmas favourite is proving a hit with chippie customers in Doncaster, including 17-year-old Alicia Job.
The battered mince pie was dreamed up Martyn Bilby, manager of GJ's Fish and Chips, to help raise 600,000 for the Doncaster Cancer Detection Trust hospital scanner appeal. "They have been selling like hot cakes," he said.
