'Miracle' boy helps with switch-on
A TODDLER who was nicknamed the Christmas miracle by hospital staff after surviving two heart attacks in December 2009 joined world champion heptathlete Jessica Ennis last night for a fundraising festive lights switch-on.
One-year-old Carter Whitlam first met Jessica when she visited Sheffield Children's Hospital in the summer. The pair were reunited yesterday to switch on its snowflake lights, which are sponsored by firms in aid of the Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity.
