Missing girl thought to be with man, 43

POLICE were last night searching for a missing schoolgirl who is thought to be with a 43-year-old man from Leeds.

Sophie Smith, 15, from Seacroft in Leeds, was reported missing on Monday morning and is thought to have travelled with the man to the Bridlington area.

Police confirmed the man is not a relative of the missing girl.

Following inquiries involving both Humberside and West Yorkshire Police, it is thought the pair were in the Bridlington area on Tuesday afternoon.

Sophie is about 5ft, slim with a fair complexion. She has blue eyes and long black straight hair and is thought to be wearing a black leather jacket along with black leggings and grey boots.

The man Sophie is believed to be with is white, 5ft 10in, with short, brown, cropped hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is urged to call 0113 241 4127 during office hours or 0845 6060606 at any other time.
