Missing granddad found dead in Leeds garden
THE body of a man found in a garden of a house in Leeds is that of missing grandfather Vasant "Vas" Patel, police confirmed today.
A post-mortem examination has failed to establish the cause of his death, but police are not treating it as suspicious.
Mr Patel's body was discovered screened from view by a tree and bushes in the front garden of a house in Stonegate Lane, Meanwood, on Tuesday morning.
Mr Patel,49, a father of five and a cleaner at the Leeds Metropoitan University's Beckett Park complex had been missing from his home in Green Road, Meanwood, since Saturday, September 25.
