The 39-year-old was last seen leaving his home in Holderness Road on Thursday morning, Humberside Police said earlier today as they said his disappearance was "out of character".

In an update, a force spokesman said: "We can confirm that following our appeal this morning to find missing 39-year-old John Jeffries from Hull, he is now back with his family safe and well.

"Thank you for sharing our appeal. By working together we work better."
