Missing man hunt goes on
FURTHER underwater searches are planned in York after police divers failed to find any trace of a missing accountant who vanished nearly a month ago.
Chris Baker, 29, of Albemarle Road, was driving to work on December 20 when he abandoned his car at Skeldergate Bridge. He jumped over a wall on to the River Ouse’s banks and has not been seen since. Divers yesterday found no trace.
Meanwhile, tests are continuing on a body found at the side of the River Ouse at Acaster Malbis by a member of the public on Sunday.
It is not thought to be anyone reported missing in North Yorkshire, and officers are liaising with forces nationally.
