Missing man’s girlfriend says world ‘stopped’

The girlfriend of a man missing for almost a month has said the past four weeks have been the hardest of her life.

Owain Roberts, 36, was last spotted out walking at 11am on March 10 not far from his home town of Cardigan, west Wales.

He was heading to meet his father near a church in Mwnt, but failed to show up.

Despite numerous public appeals, the guitarist’s whereabouts still remain a mystery.

His girlfriend Lisa Head, 37, who has been with Mr Roberts for three and a half years, said her world had come to a standstill.

She said: “This isn’t something you can easily put into words. I just feel numb and in complete shock because we just don’t know what has happened.

“The police have scoured the area and there is no sign of any accident.

“The worst thing is we have absolutely nothing to go on and this is just the hardest thing to get to grips with.

“It has been the hardest four weeks of my life.”

Previously, Mr Roberts’s family were concerned he may have been suffering with depression but stressed that for him not to make contact was “completely out of character”.

A guitarist with local rock act The Reasoning, he had planned to meet his sister before he went missing and was said to be looking forward to seeing her.

Speaking to the Wales on Sunday newspaper, Miss Head said she had also received a picture message off him just hours before his disappearance.

“I had texted him that morning to ask where he was. What came back almost an hour later was a picture of Mwnt and a kiss,” she added.

Theatr Mwldan worker Mr Roberts is described as 5ft 10in, of medium build, with blue-grey eyes.

His hair is short and grey on the sides, while his front-left tooth has a chip in it.

Dyfed Powys Police said pictures of Mr Roberts had been circulated to officers across the force area as well as via the media.
