Moat victim back in swing

The policeman blinded by Raoul Moat almost a year ago tees off in a golf tournament in aid of his own charity.

The Pc David Rathband’s Blue Lamp Foundation raises money for emergency services personnel criminally injured at work.

The 43-year-old father-of-two was a keen golfer before he was shot twice on July 4, last year as he sat unarmed in his patrol car. Teams from around the country, including other blind golfers, signed up for the event which took place at Ramside Golf Club, near Durham.
