Modelling hopeful learning that education comes first

The schoolgirl, who is currently studying for her GCSEs was spotted on a visit to the Clothes Show Live at Brimingham’s NEC and asked to take part in the contest by organisers.

Celest, 16, whose hands have already appeared in a campaign for a manicure business, is a pupil at Outwood Academy Adwick, Doncaster and is being encouraged by her mother Vicki in her quest for stardom.

The youngster recently travelled to London for a professional photoshoot as part of her involvement in the Miss Teen Queen competition and could also model at the Clothes Show event as part of her prize.

Mrs Cummings, of Merlin Close, Adwick said she was happy for her daughter, but had also told her that her school work “must come first”.

She added: “Since we got the call at the end of December to say she was in the finals, things have been a whirlwind. She has already beaten 4,500 other people to get where she is, so I have told her that she should be proud of that.
