'Moon walk' invitation as website is launched
The so-called "moonometers" encourage people to take a virtual walk to the moon by counting their footsteps and recording them on the new website.
Each participant's steps will count towards the collective Rotherham goal of walking 467 million steps to the moon.

"Our moon walk is a fun way of helping us promote the site as well as increasing physical activity, as walking is one of the easiest ways to keep fit. Just a few extra steps each day can make a big difference.
"To take part in the big Rotherham moon walk, visit the NHS Rotherham website to sign up for your free 'moonometer' and count your steps with us.
"The recommended number of steps is 10,000 a day, which is a big target for some, but you can visit our website for new and easy ways to gradually increase your steps."

Carers forum co-ordinator, Jeanette Mallinder, is one of those who has helped to develop the new site.
She said: "Working with carers on a daily basis, I know how vital it is to get the best information at a time and place when you need it. This site certainly achieves this and more."
