More arrests likely over violent fans

POLICE say they expect to make further arrests following a disturbance involving up to 50 Hull City supporters who were in York on Saturday for a pre-season friendly match.

Officers are examining CCTV images of the violence which forced them to cordon off St Helen's Square in the city centre.

A man aged 18 from Beverley and a youth aged 16 from Hull have been bailed on suspicion of causing criminal damage. A 20-year-old from York was fined for threatening behaviour. A 36-year-old from York faces a similar charge.
