Mother and child rescued from rising flood water
A mother and her son had to be rescued by firefighters after becoming stranded in fast-flowing flood water this morning.
The pair were led to safety from Pale Lane in Skipton, close to the River Aire.
Several days of wet weather have caused a build-up of standing water and flood warnings are in place for the Ouse in York and the Tutt and Ure in Boroughbridge.
