Mother in clear over dryer death

The body of four-year-old Sonny Gibson was found by his mother Anne and a police officer at her home in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, on July 26.

The boy is believed to have climbed into the dryer during a game of hide-and-seek.

In August, Ms Gibson was arrested in connection with the care of Sonny and not his death.

Yesterday a Derbyshire Police spokeswoman confirmed that no further action will be taken against Ms Gibson after advice from the Crown Prosecution Service.
