Mother dies just days after baby son
The mother of a toddler who was killed when a car mounted a pavement and crashed into them died in hospital last night.
Jackie Bloomer, 30, and her 18-month-old son Jayden were hit by a green Range Rover on Water Street in Accrington, Lancashire, on Tuesday.
Her little boy and the driver of the car, 89-year-old Ernest Wray, both died in the crash.
It is thought the pensioner fell ill at the wheel, causing him to lose control.
