Mother guilty of freezer murders

An American woman was convicted yesterday of murdering two of her adopted daughters whose bodies were found in a freezer in her home.

Renee Bowman, 44, was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree child abuse. The freezer containing the two bodies was found at her home in Lusby, Maryland, in September 2008 after a third girl escaped.
