Motor firm’s sibling team on track for race success

A Yorkshire-based chain of car dealerships has launched its own professional motorsport team featuring a brother and sister team of drivers.

The team representing Vantage Motor Group, based in Harrogate and with with 19 car dealerships across the UK, is taking part in the TMG GT86 cup at Germany’s Nürburgring

The Vantage Motorsport team have won four of the nine races so far in the competition, which requires entrants to drive the CS-V3 race version of the Toyota GT86 over ten races.

Yorkshire-born siblings Nigel and Sarah Moore are accompanied in the team by Finlay Robinson, son of Vantage owner Mark Robinson and the team’s representative in the Junior Saloon Car Championship.

Vantage chief executive Mark Robinson said he set the team up after meeting Nigel Moore. He said: “It quickly became clear we shared an enormous passion for motorsport and that together we could make a fantastic team.

“To be the first British team to compete in the TMG GT86 Cup is a real honour and Nigel and Sarah have really done us proud this season.”
