Motor show and classic car rally 
sees entries already revving up

And exhibitors at the show at Harewood House, Harewood, Leeds, are being reminded they can camp in the grounds.

Lisa Bradbury, senior events co-ordinator for Yorkshire Post Newspapers, said: “This year for the first time exhibitors can camp in the glorious surroundings of Harewood the night before the show.

“This offers car lovers a very special opportunity to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere the night before the 21st show with fellow motoring enthusiasts.”

Pitches, costing £25, are available with either a caravan, tent, motor home or trailer tent, along with show vehicle.

An array of classic and vintage cars will be on display at this year’s The Yorkshire Post Motor Show and Classic Car Rally, on June 21. The show will pay tribute to the Land Rover Defender, due to go out of production in its current form at the end of this year.

An events arena will offer family entertainment as well as showcasing classic and vintage car clubs throughout the day.

The event originally started as a classic car rally but has grown considerably over the years to feature more entertainment and make it a fun packed day for all the family.

It attracts nearly 1,000 classic and vintage cars of all types, which owners enter into a competition that is judged on the day.

Organisers are welcoming entries from individuals who own a classic, vintage or commercial vehicle or from classic car clubs.
